At the climax of Snow Valley, Laura discovers the truth behind the haunting of the mansion and the tragic history buried beneath it. She learns that the cabin was built on the site of a mining explosion that killed many miners and mentally ill patients, who now exist as restless spirits. These spirits are revealed to be the two men she saw in the driveway—ghostly remnants of those who couldn’t find peace. They have been trying to guide Laura to rescue Brian, the mentally ill boy hidden in the basement by Heath’s family, who has telepathic abilities and is trapped in terrible conditions. When Ellen, the caretaker, attempts to harm Laura to keep the boy hidden, Ed arrives just in time, armed and ready to save the day. During the chaos, Laura realizes that Heath is not who she believed him to be; he has been complicit in hiding Brian and shielding the family’s secrets. Recognizing that her relationship with Heath is based on a lie, Laura decides to abandon her engagement ring and leave the house with Brian, prioritizing his safety and well-being. In the end, she takes Brian to a hospital for proper treatment, giving him a chance at recovery. The spirits of the miners and the injured souls of the mental patients helped guide Laura on her journey, ensuring that justice and compassion prevailed. The haunting was not just a curse but a call for help from the spirits, and now, with Brian safe, peace is finally restored to Snow Valley.
