Set in the winter of 1970 in Cleveland’s slums, the film follows a hippie commune led by Guru Sonny as they survive on the harsh streets of a northern city, a stark contrast to the idealized 1967 Summer of Love in San Francisco’s Haight‑Ashbury. It depicts their nocturnal rituals, drug‑induced escapades, and a gritty philosophy of living for the night.
