The DVD captures R.E.M.’s 23‑song performance on July 19 2003 at the Bowling Green in Wiesbaden, Germany. Released by Warner Bros. on March 9 2004, the concert is famed for Michael Stipe’s “favorite song” intro to “Country Feedback,” which blends lyrics from Reveal’s “Chorus and the Ring” and features a Peter Buck solo. It also debuts the then‑new tracks “Bad Day” (originally titled PSA) and “Animal,” and revives the early‑80s rarity “Permanent Vacation.”
