The documentary draws a comparison between Quebec’s 1970 electoral campaign and the 1936 race dominated by Maurice Duplessis, showing both the hope that energized voters and the lingering uncertainty of the era. It probes whether the Quiet Revolution truly reshaped the province and whether a fresh political leader could emerge from that shifting landscape, inviting reflection on how Duplessis’s legacy intertwined with aspirations for change.
