Jackson Slate, a renowned treasure hunter, seeks the legendary Lost Gold of Cortez near a remote Caribbean island. Using dynamite to clear underwater silt, his team uncovers a vast chasm and inadvertently releases an ancient threat. The ensuing destruction leaves Jackson as the sole survivor. He joins forces with marine biologist Sarah to investigate the disaster and retrieve an egg from the ocean depths. Their discovery proves perilous, as they awaken a formidable prehistoric monster, the P-Rex, determined to wreak havoc and destroy the island.
