Playdate

Brian Jennings, a forensic accountant recently laid off, struggles to adjust to life as a stay-at-home dad. He hopes to help Lucas fit in at school while his wife Emily returns to work at a law firm. He also sets up a plan to get Lucas socializing, starting with a playdate idea.

The playdate at Buckee Cheese with Jeff and his son CJ starts awkwardly as the kids test boundaries and the adults try to keep the peace. The scene abruptly shifts to chaos when a team of armed mercenaries attacks the indoor playground. The group must improvise a quick exit as bullets fly.

When Maddox’s henchmen threaten Emily, Brian makes a fateful choice and lures Jeff into a trap to protect his family. CJ is recaptured during the setup, forcing the group into a dire setback. The betrayal triggers a painful strain in their alliance but sets the stage for Brian's redemption.
