It follows the Coconuco indigenous community in Cauca as they grapple with the loss of their ancestral lands. Though an eighteenth‑century royal decree granted the reservation 10,000 hectares, by 1971 the territory had shrunk to barely 1,500 hectares, prompting a struggle to reclaim their land and identity.
