Presented as a tongue‑in‑cheek mockumentary, the film follows an ordinary office worker whose growing obsession with anime, manga and video games transforms him into a full‑blown otaku and eventually the self‑proclaimed “Otaking.” Between animated segments, faux live‑action interviews with exaggerated fanatics add humor and commentary on otaku culture.
