Onimasa, the egocentric leader of a modest yakuza clan on Shikoku Island, sees his criminal duties clash with his self‑image as a chivalrous samurai. He battles his superior, the Shikoku Godfather, while navigating the turbulent life of his adopted daughter Matsue, set against a backdrop of justice, loyalty and brutal vengeance.
