Veteran director Nobuhiko Obayashi concludes his Onomichi trilogy with a gentle tale of a city boy’s summer spent with his eccentric grandfather. Fifth‑grader Yuta (Takuro Atsugi) expects comics and video games, but is sent to his grandparents’ house on the Inland Sea. The odd old man, whose rituals grow stranger, guides Yuta through Onomichi’s 70‑year history, slipping between memory and present as the boy discovers family, place, and the thin line between past and now.
