Set in Hungary under Stalinist repression, the film follows a privileged young actress, played by Dorotya Udvaros, whose aristocratic background makes her a target of state bias. Authorities seek to ruin her nascent career and threaten deportation, showing the title’s exasperation merely scratches the surface of the era’s broader tragedy.
