In 1936, two skilled mountaineers, one German and one Austrian, driven by ambition and national pride, attempt a perilous climb of the Eiger’s formidable North Face in Switzerland. Battling the extreme conditions and sheer verticality of the mountain, they push their limits in a test of courage and endurance against the raw power of the Alps. The ascent proves to be a dangerous and ultimately tragic undertaking.
