The sharp monochrome film follows a 24‑hour trek by two young Iranian soldiers, Issā and Emād, and civilian driver Amu Rahim as they transport thirty‑eight Iraqi prisoners of war from behind enemy lines to a garrison inside Iran. Set in the third year of the Iran‑Iraq War, it reveals the brutal inhumanity of conflict while highlighting the shared humanity of combatants on both sides.
