Tracey Moffatt’s short film follows three Aboriginal women cruising Kings Cross who pick up a drunken white man they dub the “captain.” They coax him into spending his money and drinking until he collapses, then steal his wallet and race for a cab. The work contrasts historic and contemporary power relations between Aboriginal women and white men.
