After a mishap involving the pompous Marquis, Benjamin becomes the target of a humiliating prank and is later arrested. With the aid of the dashing Vicomte Hector de Pont‑Cassé, he plots revenge and helps Manette confront her father’s opposition, while the Marquis’s schemes continue to entangle them both.
