Burn Toledo's life spirals after Angel rejects his marriage proposal and he loses his job. Overwhelmed by the double blow, he drives to a remote place and crashes his car, landing at Happy Sunshine Camp.

Burn arrives at the remote Happy Sunshine Camp and immediately meets Abi, the camp's perky owner. He forms an instant dislike of her upbeat demeanor, though the encounter plants the seed for later tension and growth.

Ellaine tells Burn to meet someone at a coffee shop, foreshadowing a future connection beyond his illness. On the way, he spots two individuals who resemble Abi and her friends from the camp, suggesting that echoes of the past remain.

At the coffee shop, Burn meets Bie, a barista who resembles Abi so closely that the resemblance is striking. Because Burn's memories of Abi have been erased, he does not remember her, though she feels familiar to him. He introduces himself to Bie, and she responds with a warm, knowing smile.
