My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission

Humarise is a secretive cult that believes Quirks, the unique powers possessed by certain individuals, are destined to cause humanity's extinction. Their apocalyptic ideology holds that eliminating Quirk users will prevent this forecasted doom, which is why they developed Trigger gas bombs designed to amplify Quirk abilities in a fatal manner.

Trigger gas is a weapon designed to amplify Quirk abilities in Quirk users, causing their powers to become unstable and fatal. Humarise planted these bombs globally, and they were set to detonate simultaneously, killing all Quirk users worldwide. The bombs could only be neutralized with a kill code contained in a USB device.

The chief of police in Otheon is sympathetic to Humarise's cause. After Izuku escapes custody using his Blackwhip ability, the police chief publicly accuses him of mass murder to turn the public against the heroes and cover for Humarise's operations.

The briefcase contains a hidden compartment with a childhood puzzle belonging to Rody. When solved, it reveals a USB device and data disk holding a kill code for the Trigger bombs. The device also contains a tragic message from scientist Alan Kay explaining he and Rody's father Eddie Soul were forced by Humarise to create the Trigger bombs.

Rody reveals that his father abandoned the family to join Humarise. This abandonment left Rody and his siblings shunned by society. The data disk later reveals that Eddie Soul was forced by Humarise along with Alan Kay to create the Trigger bombs, though Rody was unaware of this coercion at first.

Rody pretends to betray Izuku by coughing up the USB device to Flect Turn in exchange for his siblings' safety. However, this is a strategic ploy, Pino's cues alert Izuku that it's an act, allowing him to launch a counterattack while Flect Turn is distracted. The ruse succeeds in giving Rody time to reach the command center.

Flect Turn possesses the uncanny ability to reflect incoming attacks, making him nearly invincible. After struggling against Flect Turn's defenses, Izuku realizes Rody's apparent betrayal was a ruse. Seizing the moment, Izuku channels One For All at full power and launches a concentrated blitz of attacks that overwhelms Flect Turn's reflective capabilities.

With only two hours before detonation, Rody infiltrates the command center while the heroes battle Humarise soldiers. Despite suffering serious injuries from defensive laser systems, he and Pino successfully upload the kill code from the USB device, halting the activation of all Trigger bombs worldwide.

After being framed for mass murder by Otheon's police chief, Izuku must go into hiding to evade capture. Todoroki suggests fleeing to the neighboring country of Klayd, believing they can better evade Otheon's law enforcement while continuing their mission to stop Humarise.

After the crisis ends, Rody parts ways with Izuku, who returns to Japan. While Class 1-A celebrates their victory, Rody takes a job at a local bar and begins pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot. His journey ends on a bittersweet note, hopeful for his future but separated from his new friend.

Overwhelmed by homesickness and guilt about being involved with the briefcase, Rody decides to return it to the authorities. However, this decision nearly costs him his life, the officers he approaches are actually Humarise agents in disguise who launch a surprise attack on him.

Flect Turn is a high-ranking Humarise villain with the unique Quirk ability to reflect incoming attacks. This makes him a formidable opponent, as any offensive move directed at him bounces back at the attacker. He serves as one of the main antagonists Izuku faces during the mission to stop the Trigger bombs.
