After the wealthy Mitchell heir Herbert Wynn is discovered shot dead, bored nurse Adams is recruited by police to uncover clues while caring for his frail aunt Julia. Playfully dubbed ‘Miss Pinkerton’ after the famed detective agency, she dives into the tangled case, only to confront a second murder before the mystery is finally solved.
