Merry Dog

Santa Claus flies across the evening sky in his sleigh pulled by reindeer, spreading Christmas cheer. Meanwhile, on the snowy terrain below, Pooch is seen riding on a dachshund-pulled sled and singing a jazzy version of 'Jingle Bells'. A hungry husky spots the sled and begins to pursue the dog, setting the festive scene.

Pooch arrives at a cozy house where his friend, the girl coonhound, welcomes him inside. Outside, the husky continues to watch, frustrated at being unable to enter the house, adding tension to the scene.

Inside, Pooch recites the poem 'A Visit from St. Nicholas,' creating a festive and whimsical atmosphere. A rat in a hole becomes annoyed by the poem, leading it to come out and play, which disturbs a nearby cat.

The rat's disturbance causes it to be chased by a cat, escalating the chaos within the house. This playful chase adds to the lively holiday scene unfolding inside.

While outside, the husky notices Santa Claus's sleigh landing nearby. Seizing the opportunity, the husky captures Santa, tying him up and then donning Santa's clothes and beard, attempting to impersonate Santa Claus.

Clad as Santa, the husky enters the house, much to the surprise and delight of Pooch and the girl coonhound. The fake Santa invites the dogs for a sleigh ride, further immersing them in holiday mischief.

The cat and rats jump into the beard of the impostor Santa, leading to a chaotic scuffle that causes the beard to fall off, exposing the husky. The dogs attempt to escape but are caught by the husky, heightening the comic tension.

The toy soldiers and other toys animate and come to life, helping Pooch and the girl coonhound by disrupting the husky's efforts to catch them. This fantasy sequence enhances the magical holiday atmosphere.

Pooch manages to hang the husky on the ceiling with a noose, but the real Santa eventually breaks free and enters the house. Santa delivers a powerful punch, sending the husky flying away, restoring order to the chaos.

Later, Pooch and the girl coonhound sit on Santa's laps as he recites the poem 'Pooch' earlier recited, marking a warm and festive conclusion. The cat returns and expresses appreciation for the poem, having eaten all the rats, symbolizing the end of the mischief.
