As summer vacation ends for Amin, he spends intimate evenings with Charlotte, the ex-girlfriend of his cousin. He photographs her while she discusses literature, a connection unknown to Amin’s childhood friend, Ophélie. Ophélie shares her personal struggles with Amin: her father expects her to run the family farm, her fiancé Clement is returning from Iraq, and she’s pregnant with another man’s baby. Torn between marrying Clement and pursuing her own desires, Ophélie considers her options, including an abortion and a potential escape to Paris with Amin.
