A teacher from Milan moves to Palermo, taking a reform school job while awaiting a high‑school post. He works with youths: Natale, a murder‑convicted Mafia fan; Mery, a drag‑queen arrested for self‑defence; Pietro, an illiterate, muscle‑bound teen convinced his fate is set; and shy Claudio. By poetry and activism, Marco urges them to claim their rights.
