Rei Kiriyama is a 17-year-old professional shogi player who debuted in his middle school years. Following a tragic traffic accident that claimed the lives of his parents and younger sister, he lives alone in Tokyo. His isolated existence changes when he meets three sisters, Akari, Hinata, and Momo Kawamoto, who become his neighbors. This marks his first meaningful connection outside of the shogi world in many years. Sharing meals and experiences with the Kawamoto family gradually brings warmth and a sense of belonging to Rei, impacting both his growth as a shogi player and as an individual.
