Professor Brecht, a scientist, obsesses over “apparent death” experiments in his villa. He lives with wife Lisa, Germano, Katia and Lailo. After discovering Lisa’s affair with Germano, Brecht plots to kill Germano and assume his identity. The betrayal drives Lisa mad; Lailo kills Katia and jumps from a window, leaving Brecht in his place.
