Lucky Duck

Lucky is born in a toy factory and is destined for a store shelf. A faulty whistle dooms him to be discarded. He longs for a real home and a child to love him.

He squeezes back toward a box that's about to board a cargo ship. He hopes this voyage will lead him to a child who will love him. The other toys mock his flaw.

During boarding, Lucky searches for a safe place to rest. Initially rejected by other toys, he seizes shelter on the ship's steamer. The tight space and moving vessel amplify his sense of belonging elsewhere.

Lucky befriends Snap the turtle and Flo the hippo, two toys who also yearn for a loving child. The trio bonds as they cling to the hope of being chosen, offering each other support and courage. Together they dream of a safe home.

The ship's captain leaves, and the tub toys throw a party called the Tub Toy Twist. A violent storm erupts, tossing Lucky off balance and sweeping him overboard. He becomes separated from his friends in the chaos.

The next day the ship is in disarray, with toys scattered inside their boxes. The group resolves to reunite and prove their worth to a child who will cherish them, guided by the shark toy's emerging sense of value. They set out to find one another amid the wreckage.

Lucky awakens to taunts from swordfish but is saved by Wilbur, a kindhearted seagull who vows to help him return to the ship. Wilbur's brave effort is short-lived as a stone-strewn assault injures his wing, forcing Lucky to press on alone. Lucky vows to carry on toward his goal despite the setback.

Separated from his friends, Lucky faces disorientation as a mossy trail is eaten away by a crab. A supportive pod of dolphins appears, giving speed and morale to the hopeful duck as he presses toward the ship. Their help keeps his spirits afloat while the voyage continues.

Lucky is swallowed by a whale, a peril that seems unbearable. Flo encourages Snap to dive into the whale’s blowhole and free Lucky, after which the three friends make their way back to the ship with Wilbur in tow. Their reunion strengthens them for the challenges ahead.

A thick mist tests their resolve, but the memory of a brave kid helps Lucky rally the group toward safety. They work to restore the ship’s balance as another storm approaches, with dolphins aiding the evacuation. The bond among them is strengthened by shared purpose.

Lucky is swept away once more and ends up in a shallow pool where sea reptiles mock him and he nearly loses hope. The harsh moment tests his belief that a child will still choose them. Yet he clings to the memory of possibilities beyond despair.

A nearby ship answers the call and, with Wilbur’s help, leads the group back to Lucky. Lucky is finally adopted by the child who started this journey, and Wilbur is invited to stay as part of the crew's new home. The tub toys find loving homes with other children, closing the voyage with hopeful endings.

Lucky’s voiceover concludes that dreams can come true, echoing the film's hopeful message. The toys settle into new lives with children who will cherish them, and Wilbur remains part of their adventures. The story ends with a sense of belonging and love for the motley crew.
