In the bustling city of Mumbai, Nandan Kumar lives a modest life as a machine repairman. Residing in a cramped chawl with his wife Lata and their son Ayush, they navigate the daily struggles of their impoverished existence, showcasing their dreams against a backdrop of harsh realities.

Meanwhile, MLA D. N. Patil devises a secretive plan involving a massive transfer of Rs. 100 million along with incriminating documents. He enlists the help of local gangster Omar to execute this high-stakes operation, which sets off a chain of chaotic events.

As Omar's crew is ambushed by the violent Bala Rathore, a chaotic shootout ensues. This unexpected turmoil leads to a desperate search for a suitcase filled with cash that has been stashed away, heightening the stakes for all involved.

Amidst the chaos, Nandan stumbles upon the hidden suitcase filled with money. Choosing to be discreet, he hides the fortune in his neighbor's flat, utilizing a spare key he possesses, which unwittingly escalates his involvement in the criminal plot.

Realizing the money is missing, Bala and Patil unleash their henchmen in a frantic search to recover it. Patil also coerces Inspector Madhav Kolte to join the chase, utilizing Kolte's vulnerabilities as a pawn in their dangerous game.

Kolte and his informant Faizu work tirelessly to piece together clues from the prior shootout. However, they discover that the nearby CCTV cameras are disabled, complicating their investigation and allowing fortunes to hang in limbo.

With a portion of the newfound wealth, Nandan treats his family to a nicer life, all while keeping the origin of the money a secret from Lata. The contrast between their new life and the grim reality of their previous struggles becomes starkly evident.

As Kolte draws closer to Nandan, a CCTV camera finally captures a glimpse of him. This critical lead sends Kolte on a relentless chase through the crowded streets of Mumbai, as he attempts to piece together the whereabouts of the elusive money.

Nandan unknowingly raises Kolte's suspicions during a visit to the bank regarding a cash-counting machine. The inquiries arouse curiosity amongst bank employees, leading them to share the odd behavior with Kolte, deepening his investigation.
