Political kingmaker Joe Quinn plots to lift his daughter Paula’s ambitious suitor, George Willoughby, into the upper echelons of power by securing his election to Congress. Willoughby is duly elected, but Paula rejects the hand‑picked match, choosing instead inventive weatherman and inventor Kirk Duncan, whom she eventually marries.
