Emmy and Vince begin as casual college friends, later becoming each other's closest confidants despite opposite personalities—Emmy, career‑driven and domineering yet kind‑hearted; Vince, cool and laid‑back. Even when distance and infrequent contact separate them, their lives continually intersect, leading them to fall in love. They cherish the bond that has shaped their growth over the years. Fearing the loss of their hard‑won friendship, they hide their feelings until later.
