Dr. Knock, a reformed criminal, arrives in the quiet village of Saint-Maurice with a plan to profit from the villagers' health concerns. He convinces them they are unwell, fabricating symptoms to lucratively practice medicine. Initially successful and gaining the villagers' trust with his charm, Knock’s past eventually resurfaces, threatening to expose his scheme and derail his ambitions.
