This documentary offers a unique look at the creation of a reimagined production of the Stephen Sondheim and George Furth musical Company, directed by Marianne Elliott. Filmed over two years, it captures the challenges and triumphs of bringing the gender-swapped show to Broadway during the COVID-19 pandemic. Featuring rehearsal and performance footage, alongside interviews with Elliott, Sondheim, Katrina Lenk, Patti LuPone, and members of the original 1970 cast, the film chronicles the show's debut in a city facing significant financial hardship, marking a moment of hope as both Broadway and New York City recover from a historic crisis.
