When their mission is overrun by North Vietnamese troops, a missionary couple, their Australian guide, a South Vietnamese major, a brothel owner and her daughter pile into the battered school bus to escape. En route, three US Marines seize the bus, hoping to reach De Nang, forcing the group to battle through the enemy army toward safety.
