It follows a devout mother who, after learning a camp counselor had molested her seven‑year‑old son, takes the law into her own hands. Discovering that the counselor had previously been convicted of a similar crime in 1983 and received only probation, she murders him in 1990. The film examines her motives, the power of a mother’s love, and the ensuing legal fallout.
