His father, a hard‑line Southern Baptist, raises J.C. in a strict faith. As a teenager he rebels, joins a biker gang and quickly rises to its leader. While on a day‑trip he experiences a prophetic vision, then leads an LSD‑induced pilgrimage back to his hometown, confronting the local church hierarchy, overturning chairs and tables in furious outrage. The film asks whether a reborn Jesus can walk the earth again.
