The film follows Tashbash, a restless trouble‑maker who despises the compliant village headman and the oppressive landlord exploiting the peasants. After a villager’s vision presents Tashbash as a living incarnation of a local saint, the community rallies around him to face the landlord’s rent demands. Their faith eventually convinces even Tashbash that he has a higher purpose.
