Four‑part series that follows Shakespeare’s life, not his plays. It mixes adventure, live‑action interviews and filmed sequences with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Set in Elizabethan England, it highlights events he witnessed—the Spanish Armada, the Gunpowder Plot, New World colonies and power in America—and the shift toward a Protestant future.
