As the Labour Day Holiday approaches, they decide to visit their hometown of Zhujiajiao, a traditional water town where Ling Xiuzhen once founded a Chinese restaurant. Now retired and living in Shanghai with her grandson, she occasionally reflects on the future and whether he will continue the family tradition by taking over the restaurant.
