Writer Frederic Lansing retreats to a lighthouse in Hellview, Oregon, seeking inspiration, only to discover it is haunted by Venetia, a woman who killed herself a century ago. She wants to use Lansing as a vessel for her dead husband, Captain Howdy. As Howdy’s spirit begins murdering locals, two clumsy scientists are called in to uncover the lighthouse’s dark history and stop the killings.
