Three women who left South Korea in the 1970s as guest workers in Germany return after thirty years with their husbands. They settle in Dogil Maeul, a purpose‑built “German village” on a Korean bay featuring Frankfurter sausages and hearty bread. The setting feels more German than Germany, and the women find that resuming their old lives is not easy.
