American cinema's portrayal of society is explored in this documentary, which examines the surprising absence of open sexuality and eroticism within the industry. The film suggests a connection between this lack and deep-rooted religious beliefs, potentially tracing back to the values of the Pilgrim Fathers. It raises questions about the contradiction of a nation entertained by violence while seemingly repressing sexual expression.
