A thrift‑shop owner sells his shop, buys a modest radio station and looks for sponsors. A department‑store magnate will fund him only if his tone‑deaf daughter, an aspiring tap‑dancer, performs on air. He hires a professional singer to dub her voice, and the singer falls for the magnate’s nephew, igniting comedic mayhem.
