Hate Thy Neighbor

A frantic man arrives in town seeking shelter but is refused. He hands over a map to the pursuing bandit leader, Gary Stevens, who then shoots him dead. The killing marks the start of a brutal chase over the map.

Gary slips across the border to join Chris Malone, a wealthy estate owner who stages gladiatorial bouts for entertainment using enslaved fighters. The brutal setup serves as the backdrop for Gary and Chris's uneasy alliance. The map becomes the prize that could unlock a fortune.

Gary divides the stolen map in two and passes half to Chris. The two halves, when combined, reveal the location of a gold mine. The alliance is fragile, built on a shared treasure rather than trust.

Ken Dakota, brother of the murdered man, arrives in town to ask questions and seek justice. His presence unsettles Gary and the others as the body count grows. He begins quietly digging for the truth.

Gary and his men rob a bank in town, but Chris informs the authorities in advance. Soldiers crash the scene, killing all of Gary's men and taking Gary prisoner. The plan to secure the map begins to unravel.

In Chris's lair, Gary and his men torture him to disclose where his half of the map is hidden. The pressure mounts as Chris and his girlfriend watch closely. The interrogation is brutal and relentless.

Ken and his sidekick Duke ambush the guards guarding Gary and free him. After a brutal confrontation, Gary yields his half-map to Ken in exchange for his freedom.

Gary is taken to town where he is tried and sentenced to be hanged the following morning. The noose hangs over him as the walls close in.

That night, Chris and his men ambush Ken in his room and beat him. The following morning, they ride to the hanging and rescue Gary as he is about to be hanged.

Gary tells Chris that he no longer has the map after the events. He signals that the treasure chase may be over for now.

Gary and some of Chris's men abduct Ken's nephew to trade him for the map. Gary hires Jose to betray Chris so he can end up with both halves, but Chris anticipates the move and captures Gary and Jose.

Chris forces Gary and Jose to fight in a gladiatorial duel; Jose is about to kill Gary when Ken arrives and shoots Jose. Ken then compels Chris to release the nephew.

Gary, wounded, confesses that Ken killed his brother on Chris's orders, and Ken confirms this truth to him. The personal vendetta becomes clearer as loyalties fray.

A final shootout unfolds. Ken and Duke gain the upper hand in part because explosives hidden in Duke's jacket unleash a decisive turn of the tide. Chris is wounded and flees.

Ken shoots Chris in the chest but decides not to finish him. Duke arrives and delivers the film's final line: 'You're really fortunate; you've finally met a man who doesn't know how to hate'.
