In early 1950s Prato, Giovanna and her fellow female workers occupy a small textile mill to stop a dismissal plan that would leave their families without income. With families' support they endure thirty‑five days of isolation as the owner blocks the road, cuts electricity and pressures them to accept reduced layoffs. The women remain resolute.
