Fulbert, a talented sidewalk artist, is lured into the world of crime when a counterfeit money operation convinces him to work for them. He later escorts a woman who pretends to be a mourning widow, traveling across Spain in a hearse. Oblivious to the fact that she is the lover of a powerful gangster, Fulbert is pursued by thugs.
