Throughout history, menstruation has been shrouded in secrecy and stigma, often viewed with fervor and disavowal. This film explores the cultural and societal shifts surrounding the natural process of bleeding, examining how it has been managed and perceived across different eras. From the declaration of 2015 as “The Year of the Period” by NPR to the rise of the "Free Bleeding Movement" in Korea, the narrative follows evolving attitudes and new products entering the market. Driven by increasing visibility and open discussion, women are reclaiming their experiences and redefining how menstruation is understood and addressed.
