In the basement of a suburban mansion, Gideon Fisk hangs himself, twisting his fate with a cursed book made of human skin. His act hints at an occult burden that will not rest. The room fills with a foreboding secret that the mansion keeps.

In the present day, four beautiful female college students are hired to clean the now-vacant mansion over the weekend. They arrive with optimism, unaware of the mansion's dark history. The quiet weekend begins with dusting and exploration that will soon awaken the curse.

The students descend to the basement and discover a strange dagger tucked away in an old chest. The artifact feels cold and ancient, hinting at supernatural forces tied to the house. Their curiosity is about to collide with terror.

That night, the possessed spirit of Gideon delivers the book to their front door, as if calling them to open it. The book is central to the mansion's haunting and contains energies beyond mortal comprehension. The air grows thick with an unspoken threat.

The women examine the book and discover sketches of bizarre monsters entwined with graphic sexual imagery. An incantation is found within its margins, hinting at power beyond mortal reach. The scene sets the stage for the book to unleash living horror.

When the incantation is spoken, one of the drawings crawls from the page and becomes a living, malevolent cartoon. The demon stalks the mansion, first attacking Roxanne and then using her form after killing her. It demonstrates a dangerous hunger for souls and power.

The entity reveals its plan: to gather the souls of everyone in the mansion so it can be freed from the book along with its demon kin. It uses terror to isolate its victims and strengthen its hold. The clock ticks toward a deadly reckoning.

The surviving women contact their boss, Burt, seeking help, only for the demon to lure him away and kill him before he can intervene. His death removes their outside ally and raises the stakes. The mansion grows more dangerous as the night deepens.

One by one the demon slaughters the other women, leaving Megan as the sole survivor. The world outside seems oblivious to the horrors within the mansion walls. Megan steels herself for a final confrontation.

Gideon Fisk reappears, drawn by the need for a mortal to end his curse. He aids Megan and drives a dagger into the demon, weakening it. The supernatural threat falters as Megan prepares for the concluding act.

Megan uses the strange dagger and hurls the book into the fireplace, incinerating it and erasing the demon from existence. Gideon explains that he needed a mortal's strength to destroy the book, then ascends to the afterlife. The house breathes a sigh of relief as the evil fades.
