Endangered Species

The film opens with a brutal killing spree targeting gyms and spas. Police investigators, including Sully, Wyznowski, and Yamata, arrive at the scene and start collecting clues. A lone survivor is found hiding in a locker and rushed to hospital.

Sully visits the sole survivor in the hospital and learns she was questioned by the mysterious man. He realizes the man resembles someone seen earlier and grows convinced he is involved, not a regular officer. The investigation tightens as they press for more evidence.

Sully and Wyznowski pursue the mysterious man through the city while trying to confirm his identity. The suspect remains elusive and dangerous, evading capture at every turn. Sully ultimately manages to subdue him using a taser, ending their initial confrontation.

As the man continues his killing spree, another attack hits a strip club, cementing the killer's pattern and escalating the threat to the public. The police race to track him down, fearing more casualties. The team doubles their efforts to connect the new strike to the suspect.

Sully sneaks into the hunter's apartment and uncovers a trove of alien gadgets that hint at a non-human threat. With special glasses, he sees unseen corners and strange devices that the naked eye would miss. He ends up in the same car as the suspect, who seems to be actively trying to take down the hunter—an unusual dynamic between the two.

The hunter's invisible truck leads to a deadly chase where Sully and Warden finally manage to spot the vehicle with their glasses, but a crash disrupts the pursuit. Warden hesitates to kill the hunter, allowing him to escape. An explosion severs the hunter's arm, which Sully retrieves for analysis.

Yamata analyzes the severed arm, but it launches an attack, trying to choke him. The hunter materializes behind Yamata and strangles him to death, then reattaches the arm. The nature of the arm hints at the hunter's biological capabilities and resilience.

The hunter continues his rampage, seizing weapons from officers and hunting down targets within the police station. Warden arrives to save Sully, but the hunter manages to claim a bazooka before escaping. The city is left reeling as the hunt intensifies.

That night, Sully encounters Warden at a warehouse where Warden reveals he had a trap in place that Sully inadvertently ruined. They exchange tension about their species and the dinosaurs, foreshadowing a final showdown. The hunter's approach forces them to seek shelter inside the warehouse.

Inside the warehouse, the hunter attacks and captures Sully, intending to kill him with a knife. Sully uses his wits to lure the hunter into triggering a fuse and electrocuting him, ending the chase. Warden dies from his injuries as the auto-destruct countdown begins.

The auto-destruct sequence reaches its final seconds while Sully escapes the warehouse just as it blows up. The immediate threat is neutralized, and Sully returns to civilian life with a heavy heart but a sense of relief. The fate of the aliens remains ambiguous beyond the destruction.

In the aftermath, Sully buys a puppy and a mouse for his daughters to bring some joy back into their lives. He names both pets 'Warden' in honor of the fallen alien ally. The family shares a quiet moment at home, looking up at the night sky and pondering what lies beyond Earth.
