After the demon lord Hadlar is defeated, the monsters he once controlled flee to Delmurin Island to live in peace, where Dai, the sole human, was raised by the gentle monster Brass. Dai dreams of becoming a hero, and his chance arrives when Hadlar is revived and the former hero Avan trains him. After Avan is mortally wounded battling Hadlar, a mysterious mark appears on Dai’s forehead, granting him great power. Joined by Avan’s other pupil Pop, Dai sets out to avenge his mentor and restore peace to the world.
