The series satirically and tragically examines German‑Austrian relations through the Sattmann family, a Berlin business clan that holidays in the Tyrolean village of Lahnenberg in the Zillertal. It opens with real excerpts from the TV show “Let’s Go!”, where Austrians define “Piefkes” as loud Germans. Their growing numbers spark outrage, while locals scramble to contain the tourist surge, echoing the “Stornowelle” of German visitors.
