On July 29, 1981, as Lady Diana Spencer marries Prince Charles, a small-town Norwegian factory hosts its own wedding celebration for Liv and Terje. Their newborn daughter, also named Diana, arrives into a world destined for its own brand of chaos, courtesy of her parents. The film follows Diana as she experiences the ups and downs of her parents' marriage, a less glamorous but ultimately more amusing contrast to the royal spectacle. Through her eyes, we witness their constant conflicts and enduring love, stretching over three decades until her own wedding day.
