Two schizophrenic patients flee a mental asylum, convinced they were mistakenly quarantined. Upon reaching a rural village, the locals mistake one for the sheriff and the other for the magistrate, setting off a series of misunderstandings as the strangers are forced to play the roles assigned to them.
