Krishna is an intellectually-disabled man with the mental age of a seven-year-old, living a peaceful life in the hill station of Avalanchi under the care of Victor, the kind owner of a chocolate factory where he works. One day, he excitedly tells the village that he will become a father. That night, his daughter is born, but her mother Banumathy (not shown on-screen) dies during childbirth. Krishna accepts the loss in his simple, hopeful way, convinced that Banumathy has “gone to God,” and he embraces fatherhood with boundless love.
